1.  Health Insurance:  DADC is currently enrolled with the Public Employees Benefits Authority (PEBA). Within this plan you can enroll in the following:

  • Health – An individual plan cost is 100% paid by the agency
  • Dental Insurance
  • Dependent Life Insurance
  • Optional Life Insurance
  • Supplemental Long-Term Disability  
  • Medical Spending Account
  • Dependent Care Spending Account

DADC participates with the MoneyPlus program which allows all medical and dental insurance premiums to be deducted before federal, state, and social security taxes.

Employees must enroll within 31 days of employment without showing medical evidence. If you are currently enrolled in another insurance plan and do not wish to enroll in the DADC plan, then you must provide DADC with a copy of the insurance card and you will be reimbursed $79.10 a month.

Employees enrolled under the State Health Plan will automatically receive $3,000 life insurance coverage.

2.  Retirement:  All permanent full-time employees must enroll in the SC Retirement System. Permanent part-time employees have the option to enroll or not. Participants will have 9% of the gross salary deducted for the Retirement System, which will be deducted before federal and state taxes. The agency will contribute 15.61% of employee’s gross salary.

3.  Deferred Compensation (401k):  Employees may enroll in this program at any time. Employees may contribute up to 20% of gross salary and the deduction will be made before federal and state tax. The agency will match the employee’s contribution a certain % based on number of years of services and annual salary.

4.  Annual Leave:  Each employee will earn 10 hours per month. Unused hours may be carried over year-to-year until the maximum of 360 is reached.

5.  Sick Leave:  Each employee will earn 10 hours per month. Unused hours may be carried over year-to-year until a maximum of 720 is reached.

6.  YMCA:  Employees have the option to join the Summerville YMCA and have half of the cost covered by the agency. You may join at the beginning of any month.

7.  Training and Dues Budget: All staff have a yearly budget to assist in covering trainings and/or licensure/certification dues.
